Mobile Food Pantry

Funds provided by the Faith New Deal government funding

Funding has been granted for the provision of a mobile food pantry to serve the population of the St Helen’s Borough.

This mobile food pantry will provide access to food to the general population.

St Helens Mobile Community Pantry bridges the gaps between community food provisions across St Helens. A joint faith and voluntary group initiative working alongside members of the St Helens Borough Community Food Providers Alliance, this two year dream is now a reality and is accessible for those who need it.

The Mobile Pantry is a franchise of the Your Local Pantry model and operates as an affordable food club where members pay a weekly membership fee in return for choosing a set amount of available food that typically will be worth three to four times the membership fee, and here is the best bit – anyone can join!

Warm Hubs

Warms Hubs within the St Helens Borough Council region

Warm Spaces are somewhere you can go to get warm, stay warm and enjoy a little company. In some you'll also be able to get refreshments. Many households and families will be struggling to pay their fuel bills this winter and may also be experiencing food poverty and social isolation. Estimates show that 42% of households in St Helens are likely to be impacted by fuel poverty.

St Helens Council wants to do more for its residents this winter to ensure they are warm and to ease some of the unprecedented pressures on people at this time of year due to rising costs.

To ensure that residents have access to somewhere warm and comfortable, residents of all ages across the borough will be welcome to come into  libraries and leisure centres, to stay warm, as part of the St Helens Together Warm Spaces initiative.

They are also working with voluntary and community sector partners to explore opportunities to expand the number of Warm Spaces available to residents in the borough and offer support to people using them.

The Warm Spaces directory shows where known Warm Spaces are available to residents in the borough. It also includes information on facilities and access.

If you are hosting a Warm Space and it isn't listed, please fill in the online formYou will need to create an account on the website to be able to submit a Warm Space entry. Once complete, a member of the team will get in touch to confirm these details. Your space will then be listed publicly on the directory.
